A fun and dynamic scooter game that develops upper body strength and fitness in a fast paced, team oriented environment. Allows disabled and able-bodied individuals to play a sport together, building self-confidence and group cohesion. Provides cross-over benefits to other sports that require upper-body strength. Use as part of your physical education, intramural, fitness, rehabilitation, and recreational programs. This low impact activity strengthens muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons without excessive strain. Set includes 14 scooters (7 each blue and red), 2 goals with nets (1 each blue and red), 4 foam game balls, teaching video and rules.
About the Game
Played on specialized scooters and is a mixture of hockey, soccer, and basketball. Participants use only their hands and arms for propulsion of a scooter on which they lie. A basketball court is typically used as the playing field. Each team has 7 players on the floor at one time and another 7 on the bench. A maximum of 15 players can be on a team. Players advance the ball either by passing to another player or by dribbling. Kicking the ball is prohibited. The object is to put the ball into a goal protected by a goalie. - Additional Information
